JEAN "JOHNNY" BERUBE 1925 - 1999 Peacefully, on December 16, 1999, Papa died in his sleep in St. Boniface General Hospital. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 48 years, Rosanna (nee Plante) three daughters, Alice (Gerry Gill), Claire and Jeannine Webb (Glen) and three grandchildren, Sylvie and Jean-Pierre Dufault and Matthieu Lacroix. His brother and sisters, Gilles (Mary), Marcelle Forest (Gabriel), Guy (Eveline) and Pierrette Patry (Romeo). He was predeceased by his daughter Marie-Therese; his mother Georgianna (nee Leclerc) and his father Georges-Henri. During his lifetime, he worked as an electrician with Daoust-Grimard, then at the Archdiocese of Saint-Boniface. He was building superintendent and Personnel director at College Universitaire de Saint-Boniface before finishing his career with the Grey Nuns. Papa will be remembered by all his friends as a gentle and caring man with a very subtle sense of humour. "Bisibi" has gone to be with his Lord and those who left him. He will be waiting for us also. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Philippe Erhard for his unfailing support and care of Papa. We also thank the staff of SBGH who have been so good to him and to his wife and family. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 21 at Eglise du Precieux-Sang, 200 Kenny St. at 10:30 a.m. with viewing half an hour prior to the service. Il laisse son epouse de 48 ans, Rosanna (nee Plante) et ses trois filles Alice (Gerry), Claire et Jeannine Webb (Glen) et ses trois petits enfants, Sylvie et Jean-Pierre Dufault, Matthieu Lacroix. Ses freres et soeurs, Gilles (Mary), Marcelle Forest (Gabriel), Guy (Eveline), Pierrette Patry (Romeo) et plusieurs neveux et nieces. Papa est aller rejoindre son pere Georges-Henri, sa mere Georgianna (Leclerc) et sa fille Marie-Therese. Electricien de metier, il a travaille a lArcheveche de Saint-Boniface, au CUSB et pour les soeurs Grises. Jean na jamais manque une chance daider les autres et sera toujours dans le coeur de ceux et celles quil a aide sans dire un mot. La famille desire remercier Dr. Philippe Erhard pour sa patience et son devouement envers Papa et Maman, ainsi que le personnel soignant de lhopital de Saint-Boniface. Les funerailles auront lieu mardi, le 21 decembre a 10h30 precede dun visionnement a 10h a lEglise du Precieux-Sang. Services funeraires Desjardins.
