MARGARET VERMETTE (nee LILIBERTY) Peacefully, after a lengthy illness with her family by her side, Margaret Vermette passed away at the Foyer Valade Nursing Home, on Wednesday, December 15, 1999 at the age of 78 years. Margaret is survived by her husband of 63 years, Gabriel Vermette; her children, Lou (Lina), Vernon of Vancouver B.C., Rene (June), Ronald (Eva), Shirley (Roy) Zarichanski, Lorraine (Ian) MacDonald, Doug (Brenda), Robert; one sister Alice of Vancouver B.C.; 16 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. Margaret was predeceased by her son Lawrence, daughter-in-law Lynn, five brothers and four sisters. Margaret worked for the St. Vital School Division for 15 years before retiring. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother and was a very caring person to all who knew her. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 20 at 2:00 p.m. in the St. Eugene Church, 1007 St. Marys Rd., with Rev. Fr. Marcel Toupin presiding. Interment will follow in the St. Vital Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Foyer Valade, 450 River Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2M 5M4. P. COUTU & CO.
