PETE CHIKOWSKY Peacefully at home on Friday, December 17, 1999 at the age of 85 years, Pete passed away. Pete is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth (Joe) Boitson, Nellie (Tom) Dubowits and Leda (Len) Horodecki; one son, John (Margaret) Chikowsky, and sister, Molly Hubarewich, brother-in-law, Walter Kutz; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Pete was born and raised in Winnipeg, he was orphaned at 6 months old when his mother passed away, and was brought up by his Auntie Edith and Uncle Max Hatmonenko. He then moved to the farm in Camper, and then on to Fisher Branch. He married Rose Kutz in 1938 and remained on the farm until his demise. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and will be sadly missed by his family, relatives and many many friends. Prayers will be held on Monday, December 20, at Fisher Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 21 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Fisher Branch. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery with Father Eugene Rudachek officiating. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren. Arrangements in care of the Fisher Funeral Home (204) 372-6271.
