ANTHONY (TONY) HOEPPNER Peacefully surrounded by his family, Tony Hoeppner, age 77 passed away on Friday, December 17, 1999 at the Victoria Hospital, Winnipeg, MB. Left to cherish his memories his wife Elma of 58 years; son Richard (Pat) of Edmonton, AB.; daughter Judy of Winnipeg. Three grandchildren Sandy, Kelly, Kendra. Two great grandsons Tyler and Brett. Tony is predeceased by his parents, six brothers and two sisters. Survived by brothers Peter, Dave, sisters Helen and Ann. Tony was born in Morden, MB., November 19, 1922 where he worked for 22 years as superintendent at the old Pembina Mountain Clays. He then went on to follow his dream of owning his own farm out of Portage la Prairie. After six years, due to health problems the farm was sold and the family moved to Winnipeg where Tony retired. Dad was always very well respected in the community, and those that knew him will remember his kind, honest and generous ways, and his great smile. Tonys great faith in God, carried him through many trials and tribulations during his 77 years of life on earth and now his everlasting life will begin in the Kingdom of God. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 22 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bergthaler Church in Morden, MB. Services will be performed by a nephew of Tonys, Rev. Ed Hamm of Winnipeg. Viewing will take place on Tuesday afternoon at Wiebe Brothers Funeral Home in Morden, MB. To the Doctors, Nurses and staff at St. Norbert Nursing Home and Unit 3 at the Victoria Hospital, the family would like to extend their most sincere thank yous for your excellent care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tonys memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
