GARFIELD WILLIAM CUNNINGHAM Following a lengthy illness, it is with deep regret that on Wednesday December 15, 1999, Garfield William Cunningham, age 85 years, passed away at Beacon Hill Lodge. Garfield will be sadly missed by his daughter Bev; sisters, Grace and Irma; and brother Jack. He was predeceased by his wife Edna; sister Jean; and brothers, Stan and Bob. Garfield was employed as groundskeeper at the Riverview Health Centre (formerly the Municipal Hospital). He sang with the local group called The Naturals, helped with bingo at Lord Roberts Community Club, and enjoyed gardening. In keeping with Garfields wishes there will be no formal service. The family would like to express appreciation and thanks to the staff on the 5th floor of Victoria Hospital, and the 4th floor of Beacon Hill Lodge. If friends so desire, donations in memory of Garfield may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8.
