JOSEPHINE (JOEY OR BILLIE) GEROW SMITH February 2, 1916 - December 18, 1999 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our Aunty Joey. She was a special lady to all of us who knew her. She enjoyed a great life and spent 15 years of it in Churchill, Manitoba. During the earlier part of her retirement she was a volunteer with the Peter Pan Club at the Childrens Hospital. Aunty Joey was predeceased by her beloved son David; her first husband George Gerow; her second husband Wally Smith and her sister Helen Haimes. She will be greatly missed by her niece Jean (Bob) Brodeur and family, Randy (Heather) and their children, Kristen and Hailey and Rick (Kim) Brodeur and her niece Diane Versue-Haimes and family, Sheri (Darrin) and Kelsey, Brad (Linda) and their children, Cameron and Caitlin. Joey especially wanted to acknowledge with fondness her great long time friend Velma Braden. Joeys family would like to thank the services of the VON, especially Lena, Dale and Elfreda. They held a very special place in her heart. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on February 2, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., Aubrey Street entrance. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
