JONASSON Peacefully at the Betel Home in Selkirk, Lil Rannveig Jonasson passed away on Monday, December 20, 1999 at the age of 82 years. Lil was predeceased by her husband Jacob (Noodie) in 1976. Our beloved mother and Amma will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Mel (Lynda) and Wanda (Brian) Widsten. Grandchildren, Douglas (Connie) Jonasson, Holly (Dennis) Whall, Brett and Krystalyn Widsten. Her grandchildren, Melinda, Deandra, Blaise, Holden, Jimmie and Jodie. One sister Emily Peel and her many nieces and nephews. Lil was born on May 27, 1917 and resided in Selkirk and area all her life. She was married to Noodie in 1942, until his passing in 1976. She retired from the Betel Home in 1979, and for the past ten years Lil lived at the Lions Manor, where she greatly enjoyed her retirement years. Along with her many friends, the family visits, her crafts and baking. She was a devoted mother and Amma who Loved us all unconditionally. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 22 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gilbart Funeral Home, with Pastor Deborah Moroz officiating. Interment to follow in the Selkirk Luthern Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Betel Home, for their kindness and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, in memory of Lil, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Selkirk General Hospital. Gilbart Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
