MARIA (MARY) MULLER (GODINA) Peacefully, on Saturday, December 18, 1999 with her family at her side, Mary, beloved wife, sister, aunt and great aunt passed away at the Womens Hospital after a short and courageous battle with cancer. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Katherine and Wendelin Godina and mother-in-law Katherina Muller. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 49 years Michael; brother Wendelin (Anna) Godina; niece Brigita and family; nephew Reinhold and family of Austria; brother-in-law Frank (Frances) Muller; niece Erika Van Steelant and family of Winnipeg; nephew Walter (Colleen) Muller and family of Calgary; numerous great nieces and great nephews. Mary was born on September 12, 1928 in Yugoslavia. In 1950 she married Michael. They lived in Austria and Germany for numerous years before moving to Winnipeg in 1958 where she resided until her passing. Mary and Michael spent many happy vacations in Europe and the United States with family and friends. Special thanks to her doctors and the nursing staff at the Womens Hospital for their compassion and care. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, December 21 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 22 at 1:00 p.m. also at Cropo Chapel with Fr. Diosdado Parrenas officiating. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Walter Muller, Carl Mueller, Tony Schroeder and Michael Neale.
