WILLIAM LARRY MCROBBIE 1941 - 1999 After a brief but courageous battle with cancer, Larry, beloved husband of Paula, passed away on Saturday, December 18 with Paula at his side. Along with his beloved wife, Paula, Larrys memory will be cherished by daughters, Heather Versluis (Brad) and Colleen McRobbie; son Darren McRobbie; sister Faye Drummond; brother Ray (Judy) McRobbie of Calgary and his nieces and nephews. Larry was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Elva McRobbie. His special friends, Noble, Tyler, Ruffles, Lucky and Sam, already miss his gentle way with animals. Larry will also be sadly missed by his many dear friends and the customers he worked with during his successful career in printing sales. Everyone who knew Larry will never forget his hearty laugh, his wonderful sense of humour, his positive outlook on life and his generosity of spirit. Larry had a special way of connecting with people, developing many lasting friendships with those in his professional life. For Larry, these relationships werent just business - he listed in times of need, laughed in times of joy and showed great respect and consideration to others at all times. Larrys most cherished times were those spent with his wife and soul mate Paula. Whether they were walking along Kildonan Drive, holding hands at the dinner table, or simply shopping for groceries, Larry always let Paula know that their love was what made life worth living. Other special joys in Larrys life were his animals, the garden in the backyard of his East Kildonan home and the glorious trail rides with Noble in Birds Hill Park, where he listened to nature and watched the sun rise on a new day. On behalf of Larrys family and friends, a special thank you is extended to the doctors and the staff of 7A South, St. Boniface General Hospital, for their care and support. Services for Larry will take place at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., on Thursday, December 23 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made to the Manitoba Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, the Winnipeg Humane Society or the charity of ones choice. Thank you, Larry, for bringing laughter and love into the lives of those who knew you. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL in care of arrangements 586-8044.
