LAWRENCE YUSISHEN It is with great sadness we announce that peacefully, Lawrence passed away at home with his devoted wife Marge at his side on December 20, 1999. Lawrence will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 38 years, Marge; his daughter Cindy; son Mark (Gloria), daughter Mareena and daughter Karmann (Jeff) and his beloved grandchildren, Lindsey and Cody Reid, and Monica and Graham Yusishen. Lawrence was born on May 5, 1938 in Stead, Manitoba and grew up in the Thalberg area. In 1957 Lawrence heeded the call to go north. He spent over 30 years in Thompson living, working and enjoying his family and friends. In 1990 Lawrence and Marge "retired" to St. Andrews. Lawrence always welcomed people into his life - most of the time not realizing how many he had invited home for dinner. And the neighbourhood wildlife was always invited to feast in Lawrences back yard too. Everyone who ever met Lawrence was touched by his zest for life and his vibrant personality. Lawrence never let an opportunity pass by. He was always looking for new challenges and lived by the creed 24 hours in a day are not enough. His family extends sincere thanks to all of our family and many friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fort Whyte Centre. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, December 22 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 23 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter and Paul Parish in Thalberg. His children will be his pallbearers. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep I am a thousand winds that blow I am the diamond glints on snow I am the sunlight on ripened grain I am the gentle autumn rain When you awaken in the morning hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight I am the soft star that shines at night Do not stand at my grave and cry I am not there, I did not die. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 586-8044.
