MARIA OKUNIEC Peacefully on Tuesday, December 21, 1999 at Holy Family Nursing Home, Maria Okuniec, aged 99 years. Maria was born in Poland. After the Second World War she immigrated to Chicago where she was employed as a chef until her retirement. In 1981 she came to Canada. Maria leaves to cherish her memory daughter Jean Raczenko; grandson Peter Raczenko (Donna) great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Nicholas; grandson Alexander Raczenko (Patricia) one granddaughter Laura Chlopecki (Derrick) numerous relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Michael in 1990. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 24 at Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Cathedral, 643 Manitoba Ave. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Cemetery.
