Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHOMAS WILLIAM MANN Born October 1, 1920 in Biggar, SK., Dad passed away on December 21, 1999 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife Jessie (whom he never wanted to live without) son Richard, daughters, Susan (Dave) Shelvey, Iris (Don) Hawryluk; grandchildren, Ryan Shelvey (special friend Christine), Paula (Jeff) Johnson, Daniel Hawryluk (fiancee Roxan), Dawn Hawryluk (fiance Danny) great-grandchild, Myles Johnson, all of Winnipeg, and sister Sue Connelly of Kamloops, BC. He was predeceased by his parents, Ross and Ella Mann of North Surrey, BC; and brother Jack of Williams Lake, BC. Dad worked for Sorbo Motors and the Natural Resources in Roblin for many years. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing, making his employment with Natural Resources very enjoyable. Dad married Mom in 1947. They lived in Togo, SK and later moved to Roblin where they resided for about 40 years. In 1998 they moved to Winnipeg to be closer to their children. Dad was a gentle, soft spoken person, always willing to help others. He took comfort in his belief that he would be resurrected to a Paradise earth. He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends. We love and will miss you Dad. The family wishes to sincerely thank Dr. Casey Woo, and all the staff on the 5th floor of the Victoria General Hospital for all their care, kindness, and support shown to Dad and his family. Cremation has taken place. An open house for family and friends will be held at 19 Munn Rd. on December 24, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. If so desired, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
