WILLIAM EDWARD (BILL) SCHMALL SR. May 12, 1927 - December 21, 1999 Suddenly on the afternoon of the 21st, Bill passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital. A native of Morris, Man., Bill lived most of his life in Winnipeg. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 45 years, Margery; sons, Gerald (Cora) of Ile Des Chenes, Man., William Jr. (Elva) of Peguis, Man., Charles (Jo-Anne) of Calgary, Alta. In addition, he leaves a gathering of grandchildren, Brett, Chad, Konrad, Katrina, Jarett, as well as his sister Gertie of Vancouver, B.C. Cremation has taken place, and interment will follow at a later date. "Babe was long, Joe was there, The Iron Horse was everywhere. Mays was fast, Dizzy would fight, Mantles homer was quite a sight. Cobb played dirty, Paige would dance, ForEvers Tinkering with Chance. They all played long, theyve all stepped down, Resting now in Cooperstown."
