CAROLINE LIGHT Peacefully on December 23, 1999, at the Golden Door Geriatric Center, Caroline age 91 formerly of 34 Balsam Place, entered into eternal rest. Caroline will be sadly missed by her daughter Margaret, sons Roy (Joyce), Robin (Doreen). Also leaves to mourn grandchildren Grant, Larry, Maureen, Doug, Karen, Kevin, Patrick, Keri, and Kim. Also ten great-grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Caroline was predeceased by her husband Stanley in 1970, sisters Ella and Edna, brothers Harold, George, and Karl. Mother was born in Brooklands and made her home there for many years before moving to Norwood. Over the years she was a very independent woman. She taught art in her home for many years and had a keen interest in her pupils. She loved gardening and always had a yard full of flowers and trees. Carolines warmth, kindness and generosity will be missed but never forgotten by her family and friends. The family is very grateful to the nurses and staff of the Golden Door Geriatric Center for all their care. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in Carolines memory may be made to the Alzheimers Society or a charity of your choice. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday December 29 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Internment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
