JOHN DENCHUK 1914 - 1999 With our deepest regrets and love on December 26, 1999, John, husband of Minnie (nee Kruzelnicki), passed away. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Minnie; son Mitchell of Mission, B.C.; daughter Patricia Horbaty (George) of Libau; son Brian (Vitra) of Winnipeg; also leaving behind 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; one surviving brother Joe (Alice) and many wonderful nephews and nieces. John with Minnie had jumped many, many hurdles in their life. Mom was Dads personal angel, and Dad was Moms. Together they lived their life with such a power of affection and devotion, that was second to none. They wrote the book on love. We just have to learn to read it. Dad loved the outdoors, gardening, fishing, camping, picking mushrooms and blueberries. They loved their trips to Thief River Falls. He was a hard working man who loved his family dearly and would do anything for them. We love you dad and will never forget you or all that you have taught us. His pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Kevin Denchuk, Paul Denchuk, Freddie Horbaty, Kathy Horbaty, Leanne Horbaty, Richard Kuhl and nephew Gary Kaminski. All other grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be honorary pallbearers. Funeral service will take place in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street on Wednesday, December 29 at 2:00 p.m. Interment Garden of the Everlasting Life, Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. Donations in Johns memory may be made to the charity of ones choice in lieu of flowers. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Dad was one that loved to be relaxing on the bank with a fishing rod in his hand, in Pine Falls, Manitoba. Dad had an Uncle there that we used to visit a lot when we were there. That was almost every weekend! That was the good life that we had with our parents on the weekends and every day of the week oll our lifes! - Posted by: Mitchell John Denchuk (Son) on: May 20, 2012
