NORA JOHNSTON Peacefully on Thursday, December 23, 1999, at the Grace Hospital, beloved wife of Melville Lorne Johnston, died at the age of 78 years. Nora was predeceased by her parents, John and Annie Richardson and sister Aileen Jessop (Lorne). She is survived by her children, Noreen (Gerald) Pope, David (Christine) Jessop and Ruth (Guy) Calci; grandchildren, Blair (Cathy) Pope, Nicole (Graham) Schlag, Greg Calci, Scott and Brent Jessop; great-grandchildren, Ashley Schlag, Gage and Kristi Pope; sister-in-law Gladys Johnston and brother-in-law Garfield (Phoebe) Johnston. Blessed through life with dear friends, especially Brany and Ruth Peterson. Nora was born in Winnipeg, raised in the Weston area, attended Daniel McIntyre, Cecile Rhodes Schools. She worked at the Department of Agriculture, Air Canada and the Provincial Archives. Nora was a member of Sturgeon Creek United Church. Moms greatest loves in life were her family, friends, garden, pets and her visits to the lake. Her soul enriched all she came in contact with, making many lifelong friends due to her kindness, generosity, interest and spirit. Special thanks to the doctors and staff at the Grace Hospital for their help and kindness. Flowers are gratefully declined.
