Lont precedee vers le Pere par ses parents Henri Gousseau et Agnes Goffard, ses freres et soeurs Henri, Yvonne, Joseph, Leon et deux enfants morts en bas-age ainsi que deux demi-soeurs Caroline et Helene. Sr. Antoinette entered the novitiate of the Sisters of the Saviour in January 1947 and pronounced her perpetual vows in 1952. She celebrated her Golden Jubilee of religious life in September 1999. She gave all her life with such energy and devotion to numerous tasks among the young people, but for most of her religious life she worked with the sick and the aged. For ten years she devoted herself wholeheartedly in the infirmary at Foyer Saint-Joseph in Sherbrooke, Quebec, where she patiently accompanied the residents through their last years and days of their lives. For another five years, again in nursing, she worked with the Missionary Oblates in St Boniface giving generously of herself to the sick sisters. To get ready for her years of retirement she went in training at the Institut de pastorale de St.Boniface and then gave all her strength and faith to accompany, visit and be close to the elderly and the sick mostly at Holy Cross manor and in Precieux-Sang parish until she herself had to become a resident at Foyer Notre-Dame. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 29 at 3:00 p.m. at the Notre Dame de Lourdes Roman Catholic Church with viewing prior to the service. Rev. Fr. Roland Lanoie will preside the Mass of the Resurrection. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Centre de Sante Notre Dame.
