Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBESSIE STONEHOUSE (STOUT) On Monday, December 27, 1999 Bessie Stonehouse, age 84 years, passed away at Carman Memorial Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Oliver; grandson Lorne; brother Jim and sister Margaret. She leaves to mourn one daughter Eleanor and husband Martin Goffard of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Douglas Johnson, Vincent Johnson and wife Coralee, Ken Johnson and wife Kerry-Lynn, Sandra and husband Tom Erickson, all of Winnipeg; great-grandchildren, Richard, Bobby, Ron and Devin; sister Jean Armstrong of Winnipeg, brother Gordon Stout and his wife Doris of Winnipeg; sister-in-law Mary and her husband Charlie Hill of Carman; and many nieces and nephews. Bessie and her husband Oliver farmed in the Myrtle area before moving to the Carman Legion Lodge in 1968. She was an active member of the Legion Ladies Auxiliary for many years. Throughout her life, in her own quiet way she was known for lending a helping hand to family, friends and neighbours and the community. She will be sadly missed by many. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 30 at 1:00 p.m. from Doyles Funeral Chapel in Carman, MB. Viewing will take place on Wednesday, December 29 from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Doyles Funeral Chapel, Carman. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Carman Hospital Auxiliary, care of Ruth Anderson, Carman, MB R0G 0J0. Doyles of Carman in care of arrangements.
