KATHERINE (KATIE) DEMENCHUK (LEDOWCHOWSKI) Born December 25, 1910 Poplarfield, Manitoba Peacefully, on December 27, 1999, Katherine Demenchuk, aged 89, passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital. She is survived by her husband Joseph; her sister Pearl Ledowchowski; also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; also close family friend Kenny Wishnowski. Katie was predeceased by her parents, Anne in 1977 and John in 1963; brothers, Mike, Pete, Roy and sisters, Nellie, Helen and Mary. Katie was a kind and loving person who cared for everyone. She most enjoyed the outdoors and the natural things in life such as blueberry and mushroom picking, gardening and those good home cooked meals. All who were in contact with Katie benefited from her fine pickings from the outdoors. Prayers will be said on Thursday, December 30 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 31 at 12:30 p.m. also at the Chapel. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Acting pallbearers will be: Leonard Kolada, Arnold Swedlo, Glen Swedlo, Warren Sawka, Marvin Klym and Wesley Klym. Flowers are greatfully declined.
