ANTONIO ANASTASIO Peacefully with his family by his side, on Tuesday, December 28, 1999 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Antonio Anastasio, 84 years, beloved husband of Teresa Anastasio. Antonio is survived by his children, Giuseppe (Anna-Maria) of Guelph, Ontario, Mario P. (Gicomina), and Maria Rosaria. Antonio also leaves his grandchildren, Maria (Keith), Nina (Jay), Marcello (Kris), Patrizia, Antonio (Pina), James (Karen), Danny; great-grandchildren, Matteo, Clara, and Noah. Antonio was predeceased by his parents, Giuseppe and Maria Anastasio; brothers, Pietro, Francesco, and Felice. Antonio was born on April 4, 1915 in Miglierina, Catanzaro, Italy. Antonio and Teresa were married for 62 years. In 1968 they came to Canada to join their family and better their lives. To his last day Antonio lived his life to the fullest. Prayers will be said on Thursday, December 30 at 7:30 p.m. in the Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 31, at 10:00 a.m. also in the Church, with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano, celebrant. Entombment will follow in the Queen Heaven Mausoleum, 3990 Portage Ave. Pallbearers will be Antonio, Pina, James, Karen, Danny, and Giuseppe Torchia. Donations may be made in Antonios memory to The Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
