MARTHA (MARTY) SCHULTZ (ROTH) Peacefully on Tuesday, December 28, 1999 at the Seven Oaks General Hospital, Marty passed away at the age of 85 years. Marty is survived by her son Art (Marilynn) and granddaughters, Amanda and Heather; her sister Mitzie Roth; sisters-in-law, Adina Johnson, Sophia Roth, Erna Schultz and Mary Roth and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Wally in 1984 and brothers, Sam, Henry, Bill and Al. The family attended Albright Memorial and later John Black United Church. Early in life Marty became a gifted seamstress, employed by The Bay, retiring upon motherhood. She enjoyed her sewing and did a wonderful re-upholstery job on the Studebaker at the age of 72. Sewing continued to age 80. Sewing was a passion for Marty but cooking did supercede and many can attest to the delicious dinners received in her home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 30 at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., Aubrey Street entrance. Special thanks to the Cewicks, Adina, Sophia, Bertha McMahon, Myrna McRae and Lou Porth for their continued friendship to Marty through thick and thin. To the staff of Rimmer House, REPCH and Seven Oaks Hospital, many thanks for the care and kindness extended to Marty while in their care. Flowers gratefully declined.
