ZOFIA ZINKIEWICZ (nee LESZKIWEC) After a brief illness on Tuesday, December 21, 1999 at Concordia Hospital, Zofia Zinkiewicz. Zofia was born February 27, 1910 in Lubacziw, Poland. After the death of her first husband, and raising her children Baba moved to Canada in 1975, residing in Winnipeg until the time of her death. Babas two great passions were volunteer work at the church and gardening. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and later joined Holy Eucharist Church. In later years, Baba received great satisfaction from her new Canadian family, especially her youngest grandson William. Left to cherish Babas memory are daughters, Maria (Pawel) Krzeminska, Zofia (Oleg) Ostapczuk, Irena (Bill) Lake; five grandchildren, Andrij, Stefan, Anna, Jurko, William and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, one sister, first husband Andrij Monczyn and second husband Stefan Zinkiewicz. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 2 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 3 at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Watt Street at Munroe with Rev. G. Oucharyk officiating. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Honourary pallbearers will be William Lake, Otto Zipp and Maurice Lupyrypa. Active pallbearers will be Verne Frantz, Calvin Winter, Bernie Spakowski, Gordon Frantz and Stefan Ostapczuk. VICHNAYA PAMYAT KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
