FLORENCE SUMMERS (nee CLARKE) Passed away at the Health Sciences Centre on December 30, 1999 at the age of 81 years, beloved wife of the late William Summers. She was predeceased by son Richard in infancy; husband William Summers on January 8, 1991 and son Clark, February 1, 1992. Also good friend Stan Goss on November 21, 1999. Surviving her are her loving daughter Karen Smaha; grandchildren, Jenna and Jessica Smaha; great-grandchildren, Tanisha, Christopher and Keanna; daughter-in-law Terry Summers and grandchildren, Kim and Chris. Florence was a former employee of the Eatons Mail Order where she met and married Bill. Mom was a member of the UCW of Sparling United Church for a number of years, knitting and crocheting for their craft sales and serving at their teas. She enjoyed her cottage at Gimli. There she would ride her three wheeler, sometimes with her grandchildren in the basket at the rear of the bike from cottage to the town. Cremation. A memorial service in her memory will be held at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage on------at------oclock with Rev. Ritchie officiating. Service to terminate at the chapel. Interment at a later date in Brookside Cemetery. She will be laid to rest beside her husband Bill. Many thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Health Sciences Centre for their care and compassion during this time. Flowers gratefully declined.
