ARMAND BATTISTUZZI Peacefully, with his family by his side on December 31, 1999, at the St. Boniface Hospital, Armand Battistuzzi, beloved husband of Cornelia, passed away at the age of 85 years. He will be remembered by his wife of 57 years, Cornelia; his children, Richard (Rosa), Joan, Diane (Scott), Judy (Dave), Pat (Bob), Linda (Len) and Susan; his 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Armand is also survived by one brother Italo (Irma) and four sisters in Italy. Armand was born in Winnipeg on March 20, 1914 and lived a part of his life in Italy. He came to Canada and married Corrie in 1942. He spent time in the Air Force during the Second World War and was employed with Air Canada and CAE until his retirement. Armand was a devoted husband and father with a generous heart. He enjoyed cooking and bowling and he was an avid gardener. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, January 4 at 7:00 p.m. at the Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 5 at 11:00 a.m. at the Christ the King Church, 847 St. Marys Rd. Viewing will take place at 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Cremation to follow. Pallbearers will be Armands grandsons, Philip Granda, Stephan Philion, Marc DeGagne, Ryan Battistuzzi, Derek Eatough and Chris Engel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
