BERNICE DYBANOWSKI Suddenly on Thursday, December 30, 1999 our mother, Baba and Great-Baba, Bernice Dybanowski, passed away at the age of 81 years. She is survived by her daughter Evelyn Trowell, husband Bill; son Gordon, wife Carla; by her loving grandchildren, Brian (Cathy), Brenda (John), Brad (Sherri), Leon and Marciann; great-grandchildren, Bryson, Shane, Luke, Brooke, Alexandra and Emily; brothers, Pete (Irene), Frank (Lil) sister Anne; many nephews, special niece and goddaughter Agnes. Bernice was predeceased by her husband Leon; her parents Lukas and Agnes; daughter Rose; and sister Mary. She was born in Poland, March 26, 1918 and came to Canada with her family in 1928, settling in Stead, Manitoba. She lived most of her life in the North End of Winnipeg where she would regularly shop on Selkirk Avenue. Bernice was a very hard and dedicated worker having worked at Schneiders until her retirement. Bernices favourite pastimes were her garden, and taking care of her grandchildren. Baba was always known for her perogies and pereshkey. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 5 at 3:00 p.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. Reception to follow. Private interment at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined, and donations may be made in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. "Do not mourn, my children. Life is for the living.
