Date of Passing: Dec 30, 1999
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPHOTINA GREGORY CARABELAS On December 30, 1999 Mom peacefully passed on to be reunited with Dad in heaven. Mom was born in Triglia, Asia Minor, emigrating first to Kavala Greece and then to Canada as a child. She started her career at the Met Life and after marriage joined her husband Paul in the restaurant business. Mom was a strong, independent person who was devoted to her family and will be sadly missed. Mom was predeceased by her husband Paul; parents Apostolos and Eugenia Gregory and her older sister. Her memory will be cherished by her daughters and their families, Evelyne and Teli Macrodimitris, Georgia and George Kostakos and Vicki and Douglas Macfadden and her grandchildren, George-Paul, Alex, Dean and Jamie. Mom is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews in Canada, the U.S. and Greece. The family would like to thank the ladies from the Philoptochos Society who visited Mom. A very appreciative thank you is extended to the staff and volunteers at the Deer Lodge Centre who were so kind, caring and compassionate throughout Moms residency there. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 4 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, Grant and Shaftesbury. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. Donations to the Parkinsons Foundation, Deer Lodge Centre or a charity of ones choice would be greatly appreciated. HOPE I shall wear laughter on my lips Though in my heart is pain - Gods sun is always brightest after rain. I shall go singing down my little way Though in my breast the dull ache grows - The song birds come again after the snows. I shall walk eager still for what life holds Although it seems the hard road will no end - One never knows the beauty round the bend! Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 586-8044
