RICHARD RENTZ Richard was born in Russia on October 15, 1907 and passed away peacefully January 1, 2000 in Victoria Hospital at the age of 92 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Ida. As well as his children, Delores (Ralph) Robbins and Ron (Joan) Rentz; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Richard immigrated to Canada in 1928 and worked for most of his vocational years with Hurel Engineering servicing railway equipment. Church was an important part of Dads life. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Cross for 68 years and was an active member of the Cross Golden Age Club. Dad enjoyed building a family cottage at Sandy Hook where many happy weekends and holidays were spent by family and friends. For many years he enjoyed his large garden of flowers and vegetables and spent much hobby time building wooden furniture. The family is grateful to the staff at Victoria Hospital for the care given to Dad. The funeral service will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Cross, 560 Arlington Street at 1:00 p.m. January 5, with viewing one hour prior to the service. Internment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue. Flowers are gratefully declined.
