Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL) CRAIGIE Peacefully, on Saturday, January 1, 2000, at the Riverview Care Centre, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, William passed away at the age of 74. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Leona (Lee) brother Doug and Dora of Parksville, B.C.; his nephews and nieces. In his early years he served in the Canadian Army, as a Corporal in Unit RCASC until February 1947. He worked at McGavins for 25 years, and retired in October 1980. On December 22, 1980 he became employed with the Department of National Defense for 14 years and retired in 1994. Upon his retirement he enjoyed going to the farm with Lee every weekend. He loved his riding mower and took great pride in cutting the lawn. Bill enjoyed playing golf with Lee and his brother-in-law Bill Shewchuk at Kildonan and Sandy Hook Golf Courses. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Bill, you were the dearest, most wonderful husband anyone could ever have.
