THOMAS HERBERT FORSTER On December 29, 1999 at the Concordia Hospital, Thomas Forster, aged 79 years, of Selkirk, Manitoba, beloved husband of Katherine. Thomas was born in Cochrane, Ont. on June 28, 1920 and was married to Katherine Machewski in 1941 in Timmins, Ont. They moved to East Selkirk in 1948 and then to Selkirk in 1957. Thomas was an electrical contractor and from 1982 to 1992 a Commissionaire at Lower Fort Garry. Thomas had served with the Canadian Armed Forces during the Second World War. He was predeceased by a brother Reg and sisters, Freda, Thelma and Olga. Besides his loving wife, Thomas leaves surviving a son Todd (Vicki) grandchildren, Tom (Nadine), Kerri (Marlin) and Todd (Selina) great-grandchildren, Rhiann, Stephanie, Cody, Tyson, Marly and Devon; a sister Jessie Kerr and numerous nieces, nephews and special friends. He was a devoted and dedicated husband, father and grandad. Family and friends may call for viewing on Sunday, January 2 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral service will be held on Monday at 3:00 p.m. also in the chapel with Rev. barb janes officiating. Interment in the East Selkirk Cemetery. Special thanks to Dr. Fuchs and the staff at the Concordia Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation.
