ROBERT A. McCAUGHAN It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather on Tuesday, December 28, 1999 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 67. Robert was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Gertrude McCaughan and sisters, Lorraine and Rena; as well as his father and mother-in-law George and Margaret Heselwood. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Mabel and his children Edward (Denise), Wayne (Andria), Debbie (Dave), Karen (Andy), Bryan (Tanya), Bruce and Kevin; fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; as well as four brothers and nine sisters. Robert was a loving man who very much enjoyed having his family around, playing cards or just visiting. His second greatest love was the outdoors, which he enjoyed while camping and living at Lee River for the last four years. Robert worked for the Department of Highways for 40 years having the chance to travel throughout Manitoba. Special thanks to Dr.Paul Daeninck, the V.O.N.s and the staff at ST. Boniface Hospital and in Lac Du Bonnet. Viewing and prayers will take place at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. on Sunday January 2 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home on Monday, January 3 at 3:00 p.m. with a gathering of family and friends to follow. Pallbearers will be his five sons and his oldest brother Harry. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., R3C 2B7.
