Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMURIEL MAE WOOD Muriel Mae Wood died peacefully in her 92nd year on Sunday, December 26, 1999, with her daughters by her side in Eastgate Personal Home, Beausejour, Manitoba. Muriel was predeceased by husband Robert (Bob) her parents, Jane and Jim Wilson, Maple Ridge, B.C. and her brother Murray. Muriel will be sadly missed and dearly remembered by her daughter Jean (Morley) McArter of Winnipeg; her son James of Brandon and daughter Phyllis (Jack) Arran of Beausejour; 14 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren and many extended relatives and friends. Muriel was married in Minnedosa, Manitoba in 1926. Moved to Hartney in 1927 and resided there until Bob was transferred to Killarney. On retirement, they moved to Maple Ridge, B.C., returning to Neepawa and returning to Hartney in 1978. Muriel was an active member in her church and the Excelsior Rebekah Lodge No. 70 of Hartney and became a 70 year member in 1999. She was also active in many community activities including the Horticultural Society. Honourary pallbearers were, Wilf and Dorothy Coe, Bunk Weston, Jim Duthie, Eunice Freeman and Irwin Reid. A remembrance service was held in Hartney Presbyterian Church on December 29 with Rev. Barbara Austin officiating. Interment in the family plot at Riverside Cemetery, Hartney. The family wishes to thank all those attending the service and especially Wilf and Dorothy Coe as well as the staff of the Eastgate Lodge in Beausejour. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Diabetic Association or a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kowalchuk Funeral Home, Souris, Man.
