ALMA MUIR (OWENS)

ALMA MUIR (nee OWENS) Peacefully on Saturday January 1, 2000 at the Douglas Campbell Lodge in Portage la Prairie, Alma Muir (nee Owens), aged 90, passed away. She was predeceased by her husband William Francis Muir; her parents, George and Marguerite Owens; brothers, Stanley, William, Howard, Laurens and Wesley; and sisters, Mary Moss, Pearl Cooper, Gladys Hitchens and Sadie Storey. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Wesley(Ivy) and Douglas(Bonnie) six grandchildren, Marlene, William, Kevin, Robert, Audra, and Ryan; and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Georgeina Martin of Toronto and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 5 at 1:30 p.m. from the Omega Funeral Home, 83 Royal Rd. South, Portage la Prairie. Interment at the High Bluff McKenzie Cemetery will be followed by a gathering of family and friends at the High Bluff Community Hall. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in her memory may be made to the High Bluff Cemetery Association, General Delivery, High Bluff, MB R0H 0K0. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the friendly caring staff of the Douglas Campbell Lodge.
