ERNEST GEORGE LUNDY September 4, 1910 - December 17, 1999 On Friday, December 17, 1999 at the Oakview Place Nursing Home, Ernest, age 89 years, beloved husband of Estelle of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Ernest was born and raised in the Dauphin, Manitoba area. He farmed in the area until relocating to Winnipeg in 1955. Over the years, he worked for various companies and retired from Canada Post in 1975. Ernest was a longtime member of the Deer lodge United Church. He enjoyed bowling, lawn bowling and gardening. Besides his loving wife Estelle, remaining to forever cherish Ernests memory are his step-daughter Joyce (Jack) Maughan of Winnipeg; step-son Duncan (Bonnie) Patterson of Lowell, Oregon; grandsons, Bill and Tim Maughan; granddaughter Sheri (Robert) Martin, all of Winnipeg; niece Linda and Hank Redlich; nephew Howard and Barbara Gray all of Kelowna, B.C. He was predeceased by his parents and two sisters, Jen Gray Sigmund and Lil Walker Allen. A Service of Remembrance celebrating Ernests life will be held on Thursday, January 6 at 2:00 p.m. in the Harmony Room at Oakview Place Nursing Home, 2395 Ness Avenue. A private interment was held in the Riverside Cemetery in Dauphin, Man. Our family would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to the wonderful staff on 2-West at the Oakview Place Nursing Home. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in Ernests memory may be made to the Parkinson Foundation of Canada, 204 - 825 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3A 1M6.
