Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOZEF (JOE) CHRUSZCZ Our beloved father and grandfather (Dziadziu) passed away at home on January 1, 2000 at the age of 82 years. Joe was born in Tarnopol, Poland on April 17, 1917. He married Kasia (Kay) Ruda in England in 1951. They moved to Winnipeg in 1953 and it became their new home. Joe was a very caring husband, father, grandfather and friend who enjoyed his times together with close friends and family. Joe worked at Schneiders Meats for 25 years until he retired. He was an active member of S.P.K. and Sokol Hall #2 for many years. Joe was a hard worker and kept his yard in tip-top shape both summer and winter. He also loved to feed the birds. Joe was a friend to many and a devoted family man. He will be sadly missed by those who knew him well. Joe was predeceased by his parents and sister in Poland and his beloved wife Kasia. He will be remembered lovingly by daughter, Mila Chranowski and husband Dan, Christine Gracel and husband Tim and five grandchildren, Deanna and Ryan Chranowski, Sean, Jason and Branden Gracel. Viewing will be on Wednesday, January 5 from 1:30 - 2:00 p.m. at St. Andrew Bobola Roman Catholic Church, 541 Marion Street, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Jan Spyrka officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Stefan Szuminski, Richard Skrzyszewski, Ralph Sacco, Rod Gracel, Tim Gracel and Dan Chranowski. Wieczny odpoczynek Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joes memory may be made to a charity of choice.
