Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNIE CLARK (nee HIRST) November 1, 1892 - January 4, 2000 Annie ended her long lifes journey with dignity and grace leaving a legacy of love. Leaving her birthplace in Mirfield, Yorkshire England in 1906, following the death of her father, she came to Canada with her mother and three siblings to join two brothers on a farm at Somerset, Manitoba. In 1918 she married Stanley Clark. They farmed and raised five children on the Clark homestead until his death in 1955. At that time she moved to Calgary to be with her daughter Florence and later made her home with her daughter Merna until the present time. Annie was predeceased by her sister, Ada Angus; four brothers, Arthur, Francis, Percy and Fred Hirst; her husband Stanley; three sons-in-law, George budd, Paul Lackhoff and Stanley Budd; son, Harold Clark; and daughter Audrey Budd. Leaving to mourn are daughters, Florence Budd and Merna Lackhoff of Calgary; son Edgar Clark and wife Norma; and daughter-in-law, Margaret Clark of Somerset, Manitoba. Also, 15 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Kind, compassionate and always a lady, her family was her life and she took great pride in all they were and all they did. "Grandma" will be sadly missed and very fondly remembered by her family, relatives, friends and the many acquaintances she had made over the years. They will remember her kindness, care and concern for others, her special love of children and her sense of humour. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 8 at Treherne United Church, Treherne, Manitoba and she will be laid to rest next to her husband Stanley in Beaconsfield Cemetery.
