GEORGINA FINLAYSON FRIDFINNSON (nee RAMSAY) Our dear Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 5, 2000 at Middlechurch Home. Born in Melrose, Scotland in 1910, she immigrated with her family to Canada in 1913. Left to raise two very young children on her own, Mum worked diligently for the former T. Eaton Co. to provide as best she could. We never went without, and appreciate more than we can say the love and unselfish devotion she gave to us. Her life centered around two things: her family and her love and worship of her God and Creator, Jehovah. Although failing health limited her activities in recent years, she enjoyed telling others about her hope of living on a paradise earth under the rule of Christ Jesus, where sickness and death will be no more. (Rev. 21:4). Mum is survived by her children, Gary and Irene Fridfinnson, Carol and Adam Joba; her grandchildren, Shelley and Lonnie Kasian, Lorne and Lorna Joba, Randy Fridfinnson, Melody Fridfinnson, and Craig and Sara-Lynn Joba; as well as her six great-grandchildren and one sister Wyn and Gordon Bennett (Wetaskiwin, AB). Mum was predeceased by her brother Jim Ramsay and sisters, Helen Browne and Mary Harris. We would like to extend a heartfelt "THANK YOU" to all the staff at Middlechurch Home who so lovingly took care of our Mother. Their kindness and devotion to the sick and elderly is truly praiseworthy! A special thanks goes to Diane Ozuk for the special attention she gave to Mum. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 8 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Avenue, with Mr. Raymond Wieler officiating. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 586-8044.
