PEARL KALINOWSKI (nee SHYBUNKA) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother on January 2, 2000 at the age of 94. Mom was predeceased by her husband John and grandson Daniel. She leaves to mourn her daughter Patricia (Herb) Honke; sons, Michael (Madeline) and John W. (Beverley). Baba will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Kerry, Kim (Berny), Kalvin (Sherry), Bryan (Debbie), Kara, Kirstie (Bill) Calver, Andrew, Stephanie, Shaun Rolland plus eight great-grandchildren. Pearl devoted her life to her family. She was a long standing member of Blessed Virgin Mary Church and an Honorary Member of the Womens League. Outside her family and church, her main interest was flowers and gardening. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff on Unit 5 of the Victoria General Hospital, who treated her with dignity and respect. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, January 8 at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 965 Boyd Avenue with Rev. Fr. Ernie Hafichuk officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Pearl may be made to the Victoria General Hospital Foundation, 2340 Pembina Hwy., Wpg, MB, R3T 2E8. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements. 586-8044.
