ALICE MARIE ST. CYR (nee PICHE) Peacefully, on Wednesday, January 5, 2000, Alice St. Cyr passed away at the age of 79 in the Victoria General Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Gabriel in 1968, her parents Gregoire in 1959, Elizabeth in 1976, four brothers, Joseph in 1966, Edward in 1975, Albert in 1998 and Baptiste in 1999, two sisters, Caroline in 1972 and Maria in 1976. Left to mourn is her son Lionel and wife Eleanor; granddaughters, Joyce and husband Paul, Jennifer and fiance John; five great-grandchildren, Antonio, Paula, Breann, Carlos and Nikita; also her step-grandchildren, Barry, Stan, Jonathan, Marty and Cameron Roulette, David, Giselle and Bobby Joe Demach; ten step-great-grandchildren; sister Irene Dufour and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be her step-grandsons. Prayers will be held on Sunday, January 9 at 5:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Highway 1 East at Navin Road. Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 10 at 10:00 a.m., also in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Msgr. Maurice J. Comeault officiating. Cremation to follow. If friends and family so desire, donations can be made in Alices memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff on the 5th floor (Anna, Linda and Debra) and Dr. Singer at the Victoria Hospital for all of their care and support.
