Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDRUSILLA STOBER Drusilla Stober passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 4, 2000 at Meadowood Manor Personal Care Home. She was born September 17, 1902 in Scolobov, Vohlynia to Adolf and Martha Pieper (Schultz). She was married to Reinhold Stober on December 25, 1924 and they immigrated to Canada in 1927 settling in the Overstone district. In 1946 they moved to Sewell and in 1962 to the town of Morris. She was predeceased by her husband in 1964 and a son in infancy. She was the last surviving member of her family of four sisters, Renate, Lydia, Natasha and Sonja and four brothers, Richard, Safronja, Helmut and Felix. Drusilla is survived by two daughters, Meta Schmidt (Alfred) and Linda Smit (Casey) four grandchildren, Glen Schmidt (Jo), Greg Schmidt (Marianne), John Smit and Joanne Smit and six great-grandchildren, Anna Marie, Lisa, Brandy, Leigh, Jesse and Stephanie. Drusilla was an active member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Morris. The family would like to thank her many friends who helped in so many ways over the years. A special thank you to the caring staff at Red River Valley Lodge and Meadowood Manor Personal Care Home where she spent her last years. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Meadowood Manor Chaplaincy Fund, c/o the Baptist Care Society, or the Red River Valley Lodge Chapel Fund. Funeral services will take place Saturday, January 8 at 2:00 p.m. at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Morris. Viewing prior to the service. Interment to follow in the Morris Cemetery. Arrangements by the Morris Funeral Home, 746-2451.
