Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANCES ARNOLD Died peacefully on Thursday, December 23, 1999 at the St. Boniface Hospital, after a courageous five year struggle with lymphatic cancer. She is survived by her beloved son Jeremiah (Jem) her parents, Abe and Bertha Arnold; her twin sister Shelley Chochinov (Barry) in Anola, MB; her brother Mark Arnold (Joyce) in Toronto; nieces, nephews and extended family members across the country and a wide circle of devoted friends. Born in Vancouver, November 16, 1951, she graduated from the University of Manitoba with a B.A. (Hons.). She worked for many years as coordinator of volunteers with the Department of Social Services, Manitoba Government, and was active and well known in the Alternative Care Community. She was a founding member of the Sholem Aleichem Community and a founder of Harvest Co-Op Natural Foods. She wrote stories and poems and published a book "We are Still a Family." A Memorial Celebration of Frances life will take place on Sunday, January 16 at 2:00 p.m. at the Robert Steen Community Centre (Ruby at Palmerston). Contributions may be made to the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba Scholarship Fund for Frances Arnold, 123 Doncaster St., Winnipeg, MB R3N 2B2. Flowers gratefully declined.
