FLORENCE ZINMAN On January 9, 2000, Florence Zinman, nee Goldin, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a lenghty illness at age 78. Florence was born in Winnipeg on January 11, 1921 and was a life-long resident of the city. She was predeceased by mother Hinda; father Soni; sister Bertha and brother Mickey. She leaves to mourn her passing, loving husband of 56 years Bill; sons, Robert of Winnipeg and Soni of Edmonton; sisters, Ruth Goldin, Evelyn Golden and Esther Rubenstein of Winnipeg; sisters-in-law, Rose Slayen of Winnipeg and Lillian Satanoff of Philadelphia; brother-in-law Sam Zinman and wife Pauline of Winnipeg and many other friends and relatives. Florences many friends will remember her for her wonderful sense of humour which she retained to her last days in spite of very trying conditions. A special note of gratitude goes to the staff of River View Health Centre, Ward E2, especially Barb Hooper, for providing an atmosphere of compassion and dignity in Florences last days. Also many thanks to special friends, Gail Worth, Mary Lane and Florences Homecare provider, Rosemarie for their loyalty and devotion. Burial services to be held at Chesed Sel Emes Chapel, 1023 Main St. on January 11 at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Hebrew Sick Benefit Cemetery on McPhillips Street. Private Shiva.
