IRMA COMEAU (nee DUHAMEL) Peacefully on January 9, 2000 Irma Comeau (nee Duhamel) age 50 of Ashern, Man., passed away after a battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband Jack McKay of Ashern, Man.; mother Rita Duhamel of Winnipeg; daughter Muriel of Winnipeg; sons, Noel and James of B.C., and seven grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Jerry, Joe and Doris Haney of Atikokan, Ont., and Daniel, Bert, Marlene and Darlene Duhamel-Couch of Winnipeg, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and aunts. Also left to mourn the tragic loss are Jacks daughters Arlene Kennington, Darlene McKay-Degrace and Angie Toonstra and son Johnny McKay of Winnipeg and their seven children. Irma was predeceased by her brother Larry and father Anthony Duhamel. We will all miss you. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at both Victoria Hospital (5th Floor) and the Lakeshore Hospital in Ashern for the outstanding care and support given. Memorial services will be performed by Father Terance McGrath held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12, at Bardal Funeral Home at 843 Sherbrook St. Winnipeg, Man. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9.

  • In honour of my mother Irma Comeau I loved your spirit. You were funny and go lucky when I look at myself today I see me and you. I love you, mom I wish I would’ve told you that more when I was smaller and younger I hope you beat in heaven your brother just passed on to meet you in heaven, I hope you see my son there too and hug him for me. I hope you’re dancing in the skies auntie Marianne and everybody that’s up there. I hope you’re looking down at us was happiness waiting for us to come with you guys.   • Mom, I am miss you and you’re always in my heart mom. The hardest thing is losing the people you love. I hope your in Heaven with my son Japinder. I think you guys are so happy there dancing in the stars. Losing my son was the hardest thing mom that I ever went through. I love you both and I can’t wait to see you guys in Heaven. Amen.   • I just found out today 2012, as I was looking up old friends on my new computer that my kids got me for xmas.I was so shocked and sad, I could hardly believe it.
