LEO HARZ On January 10, 2000, Leo Harz, our dearly beloved husband, father and Opa, passed away suddenly at the Concordia Hospital. Dad was predeceased by his father Ernst; his mother Emilie; sister Rosa and brother August. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary, of 52 years; his children, Lottie (Wayne), Ernie (Carrie-Lynn), Caren (Garry) and Herb (Joy) and his grand-children, Greg, Gary, Anders, Tyler, Kristy, Brendan, Leah and Joshua. Dad was born in Stanislau, Poland on January 2, 1917 and immigrated to Winnipeg in 1951. He worked as a cabinet-maker until his retirement whereupon he continued his craft in creating projects for family and friends. He suffered many illnesses and tragedies, but his love for life gave him the strength and courage to go on. His family was his ultimate joy! He cherished the many family gatherings and time spent with his grandchildren. Dad was a most sensitive and caring individual asking little from life and giving all in return. Leo, Dad and Opa - we love you and will miss you so very much. May God bless you and reunite with your loved ones who were parted from you so long ago. Funeral Services will be held at Grant Memorial Baptist Church, 877 Wilkes Ave. at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 14.
