She experienced the great influenza and Typhoid epidemics during which she lost her brother Cornelius. She was baptized upon her faith by late Bishop Peter P. Reimer. She married Abram R. Reimer on May 11, 1941 and shared fully a life of lumber camps, farming, carpentry and community service. She and her husband served as members of the Christian Child Welfare and as deacons in the Blumenort EMC. They lived on their farm in Blumenhof until Abrams passing after which she moved to Oakwood Place in Blumenort where she resided until her passing. The funeral was held at the Blumenort Evangelical Mennonite Church, Thursday, January 8 at 2:00 p.m., nephew Pastor Melvin Penner officiating with interment at the Blumenort Cemetery. We the family would like to extend a very special thank you to the nursing staff at the Bethesda Hospital for their gracious and professional care for our mother during these last two trying weeks. We do not begrudge her rest and passing yet we will miss her dearly because our lives revolved around her. Arrangements entrusted to Loewen Funeral Chapel of Steinbach 326-1351.
