EMILIA PHILIPPINA REITER (nee Wagner) On Friday, January 7, 2000 at Seven Oaks Hospital, Emilia Philippina Reiter (nee Wagner), our beloved mother and grandmother passed away at age 84. "Millie" was predeceased by her husband of 36 years, Ewald, in 1974 and her brothers, Charles and John. She leaves to cherish her memories her sons, Arthur and his wife Paula, Jack and daughters, Vivian Squibb and Judy, and grandchildren, Robert and Geoff Squibb, and Alayne and sisters, Elsie Stieler and Dorothy Huff, many nieces and nephews in Winnipeg and Kansas City, cousins in the U.S.A. and many loving friends. Born near Winnipeg, Man., April 8, 1915, Millie was a loving, generous and caring person with a nurturing nature. She enjoyed and accepted every day pleasures. She was a member of Albright Evangelical Church for 60 years. One of her favourite activities was faithfully attending the Womens Missionary Society at church. The family wishes to thank the caring services of Helen, Maria and Susan of Home Care. Viewing will take place on Wednesday, January 12 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., Winnipeg. Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 13 at 1:00 p.m. at Albright Evangelical Church, 3400 DeVreis, Pastor Neil Stitt officiating. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews John Wagner, Ernie Stieler, Greg Huff, Brian Huff, Bob Stephen and family friend Ken Kinash. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Albright Evangelical Church Memorial Fund or the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg. "You were an inspiration.
