FILU CARVALHO October 14, 1929- January 10, 2000 Filu passed away peacefully, on Monday, January 10, 2000 at the Health Sciences Centre. He was surrounded by his loving wife, Rose; daughter, Miriam Rohini and grandchildren, Sacha and Kayla, brother Mario, relatives and his many friends. Born in Uganda, East Africa, Filu will be remembered for his passion for life and his many friendships. He immigrated to Canada, with his family in 1972 where he continued to nurture his family, his old friendships, his new country, and making new friends and enjoying life to the fullest. Filu is survived by his wife, Rose; daughter Miriam Rohini and her husband Stan; grandchildren, Sacha and Kayla; sister, Nellie; brothers, Mario, Leo, Agnelo and Leslie and their wives; as well as his nephews and nieces. Funeral Liturgy will be Celebrated on Thursday, January 13 at 10:30 a.m., in Mary Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Drive, with Rev. Fr. Carl Tarnopolski, presiding. For those who wish, viewing will be held one hour prior in the Church. We the family, would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all who supported Filu, with prayers and love while he was in the hospital. A heartfelt thank you to the Doctors and Staff at the Health Sciences Centre GB - 2 Wing, who so patiently cared for Filu. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made in Filus memory to the Health Sciences Centre, GB - 2 Wing (Attention: Unit Manager) 800 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3B 2H8. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie Down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow Me all the days of my life; and I Shall dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.
