Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE ALFRED DAWSON With deepest sorrow we announce the passing of George Alfred Dawson at the Riverview Health Centre on January 10, 2000. George will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lee; as well as his daughter Joan Nixon; and grandchildren, Allan (Gloria) Nixon, Lori (Randy) Swane. He will also be missed by great-grandchildren, Kristin and Erika Swane and Gina Nixon. As well as many other relatives and friends. In 1938 George was employed as a guard at Headingley Jail. George served in the Provost Corps during the Second World War. He was employed with the Province of Manitoba for 38 years and was appointed as Sheriff in 1966. George was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be sadly missed. In keeping with Georges wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. The family wishes to express deepest appreciation to all of those at Riverview who cared for George. In lieu of flowers, friends may send donations to a charity of their choice.
