ISABEL JOHNSON (PAWLICKI) November 7, 1924 - January 9, 2000 On January 9, 2000, Isabel Johnson passed away after a long, courageous battle with cancer at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Isabel was predeceased by her husband John in 1976; her father Adolph in 1983 and her mother Anne in 1984. She leaves to cherish her memory her sisters, Byrnece (Jack) Cortens and Beverley (Lloyd) Franklin; her sisters-in-law, Isabella Johnson and Bernice Charron, many nieces and nephews, as well as her many friends. A kind and gentle lady, she was employed by the federal government for many years. Following her retirement in 1983, she enjoyed extensive travelling to Europe and the U.S.A. Isabel enjoyed her many visits to the family cottages at Gimli and Coney Island. She had a great love for reading and enjoyed the company of her pets for many years. Many thanks to the nursing staff at Seven Oaks Hospital, 5th floor, 5U and Father Greg Clark for his valued friendship and comfort. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 13 at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., Aubrey Street entrance at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Isabels memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, R2L 1X3.
