EDNA IRENE STEMLER Peacefully at Rock Lake Hospital in Crystal City, Man. on Friday, January 7, 2000 at the age of 91 years, Edna Stemler of Pilot Mound, Man. She was born Edna Irene Crawford on November 24, 1908 at Londesboro, Ont. She was raised by her aunt and uncle in the Pilot Mound area following the death of her mother in 1911. She lived in the district the rest of her life raising her own family and participating actively in the community. She was predeceased by her husband Elmer in 1980; two brothers, Clarence and Eddy Crawford, and sisters Beatrice Johnson and Rose Critch. She will be remembered with pride and deep affection by her four children, Peter (Gerri), Fidelia (Peter Braun), David, and Ed (Mae) nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; also her sister Bessy McBride of Goderich, Ont. Funeral service will be held from Pilot Mound United Church on Monday, January 10 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Mary Annan officiating. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends if they desire may donate in her memory to the Prairie View Lodge Development Fund or to the Rock Lake Palliative Care Unit. Grahams Funeral Service of Pilot Mound in care of arrangements.
