Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHOMAS GEORGE (TOM) COLLINS Suddenly, but peacefully, on Thursday, January 6, 2000; at his residence, Thomas George (Tom) Collins, age 72 years, beloved husband of Patricia Ann Collins of Winnipeg, Man. Tom was born on December 16, 1927 in St. Catharines, Ont. He served in the RCAF from 1959 to 1980 retiring as a Master Warrant Officer. For the next eight years he was employed at the Deer Lodge Hospital as an electrician until 1988. Upon his retirement, Tom loved to spend time with his grandchildren as well as travelling throughout Canada and the US with his wife and two faithful companion, his golden retrievers Cody and Trapper. Besides his loving wife, Patricia of fifty years of marriage, remaining to forever cherish Toms memory are his mother, Mrs. Jane Collins of St. Catharines, Ont.; his children, James (Brenda) of Marathon, Ont., Catharine Curwain (John) of Winnipeg, Man., Sandra Audette (Eugene) of North Bay, Ont. and Carol Sloane (Thomas) of Winnipeg, Man. as well as seven grandchildren, Cheryl, Andrew, Sean, Adam, Scott, Stephen and Brian. A private family funeral service will be held in memory of Tom in Wojciks Funeral Chapel, 2157 Portage Ave. at Sharp Boulevard, Winnipeg, Man. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made in Toms memory to the Canadian Cancer Society (Manitoba Division) 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, Man, R3C 9Z9; The Grace General Hospital Foundation, 300 Booth Drive, Winnipeg, Man. R3J 3M7, or to the Salvation Army Memorial Fund, 740-500 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, Man., R3C 3X1.
